Dave Anderson is a Co-President of
Cascade Billing Center. His technical knowledge has been a major factor in the
rapid growth of the company. Dave grew up on the eastside
of Tacoma, WA. A graduate of Henry Foss High School,
Dave joined the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program because
of his interest in advanced science and technology. He
successfully completed training in the Navy’s elite
Nuclear Schools. After a 2 ½ year assignment aboard
the U.S.S. Carl Vinson, Dave completed his Navy stewardship
at the Trident Training Facility. During his final months,
he began researching business opportunities.
After much research and brainstorming, Dave recognized
the need for quality billing services in the Thurston
County, WA area. He approached his now mother-in-law,
Patricia, with his vision of a technology savvy, client
focused billing company. The result was Cascade Medical
Billing Center, a joint partnership headed by Dave and
Patricia in 1994. Cascade started in a garage, with one
medical billing client. By the end of the year, they
had acquired 10 clients. In 1997, the company incorporated,
and became known as simply Cascade Billing Center – focusing
on more than just medical billing.
Now, almost ten years later, the
company has well over 100 clients across multiple states, and continues to
grow at a rapid pace. Today, Dave researches and develops
new, innovative products and services, while streamlining
office strategies. Cascade now provides billing services
for all types of companies and entities. Dave’s
goal is to provide services to more companies outside
of the medical field along with continuing to set the
standard in providing quality business solutions.
Dave is married to Amy, Patricia’s daughter. They
have one child (with another on the way!) and two dogs.
In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and spending
time in the Great Northwest.
Patricia Teabo is Co-President
of Cascade Billing Center. Her deep understanding of
the billing arena has helped garner Cascade Billing
Center it’s strong reputation of being a leader
in Accounts Receivable solutions. Patty was born and
raised in Tacoma,
Washington. A graduate of Lincoln High School, her
dream was simply to have a family to raise. Soon after
high
school, Patty married and started her family. To bring
in a second income, she gained part-time employment
at a clinic where she began her medical billing career.
A while later, Patty changed jobs
and became a stewardess on the Flying Tigers, transporting military personnel
in and out of Viet Nam. Although she enjoyed the work,
she did not like being away from her family for extended
periods of time. She also missed what she felt was her
natural calling – medical billing. After her children
were older, Patty returned to medical billing. This time
she was working for surgeons and anesthesiologists. She
found that she enjoyed the challenge of getting this
difficult area of medical billing paid by insurance companies.
Many doctors called her directly to recognize how their
cash flow had increased. Patty was undeterred by insurance
companies. She also recognized key areas where she felt
she could improve the billing procedures, which got her
wheels turning regarding starting her own company.
A few years later, Patty was approached
by her future son-in-law Dave Anderson. They began talking about developing
a joint business venture. Patty was skeptical, having
two kids in college and one in high school along with
moving from Tacoma to Olympia. Despite her fears, she
recognized the need for high quality medical billing
in the Thurston County area. She decided to give it a
try.
Patty’s plan was to have a small business with
four or five clients, but the response was much more
than she imagined. She was excited to see her company
grow at such a tremendous rate. At this point, she developed
a fondness for marketing and training. Although she has
greater responsibilities running a growing company, Patty
still enjoys doing medical billing and takes an active
role in billing duties. Patty looks forward to fine tuning
the management structure at Cascade, allowing her to
take a less active role in the company.
Patty has been married for 31 years, and has four children.
She enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
